What Happens During the Consultation

Skin and hair analysis - The specialist determines your Fitzpatrick skin type, hair thickness, color, and growth patterns to select the safest and most effective laser settings and predict how many sessions you’ll likely need.

Full medical history review You’ll go over current medications, supplements, allergies, skin conditions, past surgeries, and any history of keloids or herpes outbreaks. Be sure to mention if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy, as treatment may need to be postponed.

Goal-setting conversation - You’ll openly discuss what results you want (complete smoothness, significant reduction, etc.) so expectations are realistic from the start.

Custom treatment plan - Based on everything above, you’ll receive a detailed roadmap: number of sessions, intervals between them, approximate cost, and any pre- or post-care requirements.

Open Q&A time - This is your chance to ask anything - about sensations, side effects, downtime, sun exposure rules, or anything else on your mind.

How to Prepare for Your Consultation

Stop plucking and waxing – At least 4-6 weeks before the appointment, switch only to shaving. The specialist needs to see your natural hair growth and follicles.
Skip depilatory creams and electrolysis – These also remove the hair root that the laser needs as a target.
Come in comfortable clothes – Loose-fitting tops or pants make it easy to examine the treatment area (especially for legs, bikini, or back).
Results: One treatment may cause noticeable hair loss, but a full series is required for substantial, lasting reduction.
Be ready for lifestyle questions – You may be asked about smoking, alcohol consumption, recreational drugs, or recent sun exposure/tanning – all of these can affect safety and results.
